Our Approach

Empowering Communities Through Civic Action and Dialogue

At MOVE, our programs are designed to address the critical gaps in civic participation, civic education, and local governance. By working directly with youth, women, and local authorities, we turn democratic concepts into practical, community-driven outcomes.

Our Core Programs

Empowering Voices, Building Peace

Civic Participation

VOICE Initiative (Voice, Integrity, and Civic Empowerment)

The VOICE Initiative equips citizens with plain-language knowledge about their constitutional rights, the ongoing transitional peace process, and local governance structures.

Future Leaders

Youth & Women Civic Leadership Academies

Young people and women represent the majority of South Sudan’s population yet remain underrepresented in decision-making spaces. This program builds their capacity to lead local advocacy and policy discussions safely and effectively.

Conflict Resolution

Community Democracy & Accountability Forums

Bridge the gap between grassroots citizens and local government administrators. These town hall-style dialogues provide safe, non-violent platforms for public consultation and civic feedback

Voices from the Field

Impact in Action

MOVE helped us understand our rights. Now, our women's committee actively participates in local council meetings, making real decisions for our village.

Nyandeng, Women's Committee Leader

Through MOVE's training, I learned how to mediate conflicts peacefully. My community now trusts me to facilitate dialogues, preventing disputes before they escalate.

Deng, Youth Representative

The civic education workshops were eye-opening. We now have a clear voice and the tools to advocate for our needs, transforming our local governance.
